Booking Procedures & Policies

BOOKING YOUR HUNT

• All hunts are booked on a first-come, first-serve basis. We will hold your reservations for no more that 10 days without a deposit
• Deposits are nonrefundable, unless hunter can be replaced at full price. It is not BF&R's obligation to replace hunter if cancellation takes place.
• Upon receipt of deposit, we will send client a written receipt of payment.

PREPARING FOR YOUR HUNT

• We offer bow and/or rifle hunts
• Practice shooting. We cannot emphasize the importance of practicing at the shooting range. Don't just sight in your gun. PRACTICE!

CAMP & HUNT POLICIES

• On all of our hunts, we do enforce a wounded animal policy. If you draw blood, this animal will be treated as a kill.
• Everyone's safety is our #1 priority! Drinking of alcoholic beverages is not allowed while hunting, and BF&R reserves the right to not allow client to hunt if client is not of safe mind and being.

HUNT PACKAGES INCLUDE

• Most BF&R hunts are full service hunts and include lodging, guides, skinning, caping, and quartering of game.

HUNT PACKAGES EXCLUDE

• BF&R does not provide regular hunting equipment needed by clients, gun, alcoholic beverages or personal effects.
• Hunters must pay for hunting licenses, taxidermy work, alcoholic beverages, and gratuities Hunting license information can be obtained from Texas Parks and Wildlife Non-resident 5-Day Special Hunting License (Type 157): $48 - Exotics only Non-resident General Hunting (Type 105): $315 - Any Deer or Legal Bird Hunting License Online Sales

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

• Clients who are driving, should schedule their arrival for 1p.m.
• Clients who are flying, BF&R can provide airport shuttle for a fee of $100.00/person, to & from the San Antonio International (SAT), Austin-Bergstrom International (ABIA) or Burnet Municipal Airports or Horseshoe Bay Airpark

SCHEDULE

• Most hunts are booked for 3 days/ 2 nights

DAY 1: 1pm - Arrive
1pm - Sign in & Unpack
2:30pm - Shooting Range to site in weapons
3:30pm - Head to blind for evening hunt
6:00 pm - Pick up form blind
7:00pm - Dinner served @ Lodge

DAY 2: 4:30 am - Rise & Shine
5:00 am - Breakfast
6:15 am - Head to blinds to hunt
9:00 am - Pick up from blind
12:00 pm - Lunch served @ Lodge
3:30 pm - Head to Blind to hunt
6:00 pm - Pick up from blind
7:00 pm - Dinner served @ Lodge

DAY 3: 4:30 am - Rise & Shine
5:00 am - Breakfast
6:15 am - Head to blinds to hunt
9:00 am - Pick up from blind
9:30 am - Pack up for departure
12:00 pm - Depart Ranch

*If the hunter has not harvested additional day can be purchased for $256.00/day

SHIPPING OF TROPHIES AND MEAT

• Should BF&R have to ship cape and antlers to clients requested destination, client will be charged for shipping charges, as well as a service charge for crating/handling. All meat that is not donated will need to be shipped back with hunter on airplane in ice chest, or taken back in vehicle. BF&R will not ship meat.
• Cash, Check, & Credit Cards accepted.
